Rent $600 on a month to month basis, plus half of PGE. A $500 security deposit is also required. All other utilities (fast AT&T wireless internet, laundry, water and garbage) are included.

This 1920’s era apartment includes attractive historical details such as high ceilings, crown moldings, decorative ceilings, and a working fireplace. The large kitchen is a chefs delight. There are freshly polished hardwood floors throughout, as well as stylish furnishings, and a beautiful back garden. There are beautiful floor to ceiling windows in the living room and the whole apartment has great light/air flow. Common spaces are: living room, kitchen, laundry room, bathroom and back garden, which includes a gas grill, great for summer barbeques!

A fish and two cats live in the apartment. Tenant can bring one cat provided shots are up to date and has tested negative for FIV (Feline Leukemia). Please no dogs or birds, reptiles, etc.

There is a roughly 5’x10' patch in the garden available for a tenant to grow vegetables, flowers, etc.!

Walking distance, over China Hill/Cleveland Heights, to the Lakeshore/Grand Lake shopping area, Lake Merrit. The Lake Merritt Bart Station is nearby as is access to 580 and major bus lines on Park & MacArthur Blvds.

Looking for a professional, grad student, etc. who is respectful, responsible, can pay rent on time, will be considerate of the common areas as well as of me, and is cat friendly. There is only room for one more tenant, so no couples please.

I am a 29 year old chemistry professor, and my interests include music, film, and art. I'm pretty laid back and easy to get along with.

I'd like to see one reference and your credit report (you can run it for free online), or some other assurance that you actually can pay rent, and on time at that.. Of course, there will also be a written rental agreement that we will both sign.
